Aluminium sheet with moisture barrier is a product with a moisture-proof material laminated onto the surface of the aluminum sheet. Commonly used moisture barrier coating materials include poly-Surlyn film and poly kraft paper, and aluminum sheet with moisture barrier is usually applied for pipe insulation and protection and is widely used in industrial and construction fields.

The composition of aluminum sheet with moisture barrier is:

- Aluminum sheet layer:
1060, 3003, 5005 and other alloy aluminum sheets are commonly used. 1060 aluminum sheet offers a simple production process and a significant price advantage, while 3003 aluminum sheet offers excellent rust resistance. Aluminum jacketing sheet thickness generally ranges from 0.3mm to 1.0mm, and is characterized by light weight, high strength and corrosion resistance.

- Polysurlyn film aluminum sheet:
Surlyn film (Polysurlyn) is a three-layer film composed of polyethylene and DuPont™ Surlyn®, typically 0.076mm thick and weighing approximately 0.08 kg per square meter. It is laminated to the aluminum sheet through a hot-pressing process, eliminating the need for additional adhesives. Surlyn film features a triple-layered protective structure. The first layer is a dense film that effectively blocks moisture penetration; the second layer is a unidirectional water-absorbing film that absorbs moisture around the aluminum sheet and irreversibly releases it; and the third layer is an adhesive layer that firmly bonds the Surlyn film to the aluminum coil, offering high peel strength and resistance to cracking even after immersion for 24 hours. Surlyn film also offers advantages such as high-temperature resistance, strong weather resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance, making it suitable for environments such as petrochemical pipeline insulation, building corrosion protection, cold storage and marine facilities.

- Kraft Paper Aluminum Sheet:
Kraft paper is a tough, water-resistant packaging paper with a basis weight generally ranging from 80 g/m2 to 120 g/m2. The kraft paper used as the moisture barrier for aluminum sheeting is typically double-coated kraft paper, laminated to the aluminum sheet through a hot-pressing process. The moisture-proof properties of kraft paper aluminum sheeting primarily rely on surface insulation, making it less water-resistant than aluminum sheet with polysurlyn, and its weather and chemical resistance are also weaker. However, aluminum sheet with polykraft paper is relatively inexpensive and is still used in some applications where moisture resistance isn't a top priority, such as general building insulation and general industrial product packaging.

The aluminum sheet is lightweight, weighing approximately 7 kg per square meter, making it easy to transport and install. Its high plasticity allows it to be easily bent and wrapped around pipe surfaces, significantly shortening installation times.
