As a leading road sign aluminium circle factory, Haomei Aluminum has been deeply involved in the field of aluminum circles for road signs for over a decade. Addressing the three major industry pain points of outdoor signs—surface warping, reflective film delamination, and corrosion aging—Haomei Aluminum has developed a full range of engineering-grade aluminum circles, covering all sizes required for national standards and internationally recognized circular prohibition, instruction, and warning signs. With stringent quality control standards and stable batch performance, Haomei Aluminum has become a core substrate supplier for traffic engineering clients in many countries worldwide.

High-precision flatness and structural rigidity are the core performance baseline for aluminium circles for road signs, and also the areas most prone to potential problems in many projects. Road signs are subjected to wind loads and diurnal temperature variations over long periods. Many projects develop reflective wrinkles and reduced nighttime visibility within 1-2 years after acceptance, often due to substandard flatness and rigidity of the substrate. Haomei road sign aluminium circles are manufactured using a high-precision rolling process with constant tension control throughout. The flatness of the finished discs is strictly controlled to within 0.3mm/m, exceeding the industry standard of 0.5mm/m. The mechanical state is uniformly H14 semi-hard, with the 1060 grade exhibiting a stable tensile strength of 110-140MPa, and the 3003 aluminum-manganese alloy reaching 150-180MPa. Taking a large-size φ1200mm sign as an example, it can withstand a level 12 wind load without plastic deformation and shows no significant warping deformation under temperature cycling from -40℃ to 80℃. Its structural stability in outdoor service far surpasses that of ordinary soft aluminum discs.
Based on my years of industry experience, the corrosion rate of road signs in coastal and industrial areas is more than three times that of inland areas; a single material cannot be suitable for all scenarios. We have established a tiered weather-resistant product system:
For ordinary inland municipal roads, we use 1060 aluminum circles with chromium-free passivation treatment. These aluminum circles show no significant pitting corrosion after ≥500 hours of neutral salt spray testing, meeting the requirements for regular outdoor service.
For corrosive environments such as coastal areas with high salt spray and chemical industrial parks, we recommend 3003 aluminum-manganese alloy circles. The manganese alloying improves corrosion resistance by more than 40% compared to pure aluminum, showing no corrosion marks after ≥1000 hours of salt spray testing. This extends outdoor service life by 3-5 years, significantly reducing overall lifecycle maintenance costs.
The reflective film is crucial for the safety function of road signs. Delamination and blistering of the film layer directly lead to sign failure. Many people attribute this to the application process, but the surface quality of the substrate is the fundamental key factor. Haomei aluminum circle for road signs undergo multi-stage degreasing and cleaning before leaving the factory, ensuring surface oil residue is ≤3mg/㎡. The surface roughness is precisely controlled within the Ra0.4-0.8μm range, perfectly matching the pressure-sensitive adhesive characteristics of engineering-grade and high-intensity reflective films. The coating adhesion meets GB/T 9286 Grade 0 standards. After a 60℃ high-temperature and high-humidity cycle test, the film layer shows no blistering or edge peeling, and its long-term retroreflective performance remains stable.
On the supply side, we also have the efficiency advantage of being a direct manufacturer. Standard marking sizes of φ600mm, φ800mm, φ1000mm, and φ1200mm, with thicknesses from 1.0-3.0mm, are readily available for quick response to urgent engineering orders. We also support custom diameters and thicknesses, providing pre-processing services such as edge finishing, pre-punching, and chamfering. Finished products are burr-free and can be directly applied and installed after receipt, reducing on-site processing steps and costs.
As the original leading road sign aluminium circle factory, we insist on refining product details based on actual engineering needs, rather than simply meeting delivery standards. Each batch of aluminum circles comes with material certificates and performance test reports, and is equipped with protective packaging for ocean shipping, meeting the procurement and acceptance requirements of various transportation engineering projects worldwide.
