Aluminum Cladding For Oil & Gas Pipelines

2026-02-04

As an aluminum cladding supplier with years of experience, Haomei Aluminum focus on providing customized aluminum cladding roll for the global oil and gas industry. Leveraging our stringent quality control, diverse product specifications, and core advantages in adapting to complex overseas operating conditions, we have become the preferred partner for oil and gas companies in the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Our aluminum cladding for oil & gas pipelines precisely meet the stringent requirements of long-distance transportation, high corrosion, and extreme temperature differences, while also being energy-efficient, durable, and easy to install, providing comprehensive protection for the efficient and safe operation of oil and gas pipelines.

In terms of alloys and specifications, we primarily offer three suitable alloys: 1060, 3003, and 5005, covering all export needs.
1060 pure aluminum coils, with an aluminum content ≥99.6%, offer excellent cost-effectiveness and are the preferred choice for conventional operating conditions. They exhibit superior resistance to atmospheric corrosion and are suitable for general insulation of oil and gas pipelines in temperate and subtropical zones. Thickness (0.3-1.0mm) and width (1000-1500mm) are customizable, and the flexible weight per coil accommodates overseas transportation needs.
3003 aluminum-manganese alloy coils, with the addition of 1.0%-1.5% manganese, offer 20% higher strength than 1060, superior resistance to salt spray and moisture, and are specifically designed for coastal, high-humidity, and chemically corrosive environments. With a service life exceeding 20 years, they are suitable for offshore oil and gas platforms and coastal gas pipelines.
5005 aluminum-magnesium alloy coils offer higher tensile strength and superior corrosion resistance compared to the previous two, with better anodizing results. They are suitable for high-altitude, extreme temperature difference (-50℃~150℃) and high-end oil and gas transportation scenarios, balancing durability and aesthetics.

A wide variety of products are available, customizable to suit different construction scenarios:
Plain aluminum cladding roll are suitable for wrapping conventional straight pipes, offering convenient construction and excellent sealing;
Stucco embossed aluminum cladding roll enhance adhesion to the insulation layer, preventing detachment; corrugated aluminum coils are wind and pressure resistant, suitable for long-distance outdoor pipelines;
Kraft paper-coated aluminum cladding roll are moisture-proof and oxidation-resistant, facilitating long-distance overseas sea transport and storage, especially suitable for high-humidity regions in the Middle East and Southeast Asia;
Polysurlyn-coated aluminum cladding roll offer triple protection—waterproof, corrosion-resistant, and scratch-resistant—allowing for direct exposure and significantly reducing subsequent maintenance costs.

Key features address pain points in the export market:
First, it is lightweight and efficient, with a density of only 2.71g/cm³, about one-third that of sheet metal, reducing the load on pipelines and facilitating on-site handling and high-altitude construction overseas. It eliminates the need for large equipment and shortens construction time by over 30%.
Second, it is airtight and weather-resistant, forming a dense oxide film on the surface that isolates moisture, sand, and chemical media, making it suitable for various harsh environments and requiring no regular maintenance.
Third, it is easy to process and shape, easily bent and cut to fit irregularly shaped parts such as pipe elbows and tees, providing seamless coverage.
Fourth, it is green and environmentally friendly, recyclable, aligning with the global trend towards carbon neutrality and helping overseas customers build green supply chains.

Our aluminum cladding for oil & gas pipelines have wide applications overseas and numerous successful case studies:
A Saudi Arabian oil and gas pipeline project in the Middle East used our 3003 aluminum cladding with polysurlyn moisture barrier, suitable for the high-temperature, high-salt-spray environment of the desert, and operated for 5 years without corrosion or damage;
The EACOP oil and gas pipeline project in Africa used 1060 plain aluminum coils for long-distance straight pipe insulation, achieving successful delivery thanks to efficient construction and stable quality;
A Southeast Asian Indonesian offshore oil and gas platform used 5005 stucco embossed aluminum coils, suitable for the high-humidity and corrosive marine environment, gaining high recognition from the client.

We can provide a full range of export services, including customized specifications, customs clearance, ensuring timely delivery, and providing full technical guidance to help global oil and gas clients reduce costs and improve pipeline operation safety.
